New York City Football Club cruises into the CONCACAF Champions League Quarterfinals after defeating Costa Rica’s Santos de Guápiles 6-0 and 4-0 in the beginning stages. NYCFC will take on Comunicaciones FC at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford on March 8 at 8 PM ET. This will be the second time in Club history that NYCFC has progressed to the SCCL quarterfinals.

The home leg of the quarterfinals will be held at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford on March 8 at 8:00 PM ET and the away leg will take place on March 15 at 8:00 PM ET at Estadio Doroteo Guamuch Flores in Guatemala City. The Club will provide transportation to Pratt & Whitney Stadium for its Registered Supporter Groups.

Comunicaciones F.C. defeated the Colorado Rapids in penalty kicks 4-3 in Leg 2 of the Round of 16 and 1-0 in Leg 1. The CONCACAF Champions League is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONCACAF. The last time a MLS team won this tournament was LA Galaxy in 2000. NYCFC, the 2021 MLS Cup Champions, will look to secure another trophy just months after defeating the Portland Timbers for their first MLS Cup Trophy in the Club’s history.
